So LA LA Land may not be a hub of culture, but there is one thing I cannot fault it for...shopping! We headed down to Melrose and Robertson where we were greeted by rows and rows of amazing stores. I fell in love with LF (possibly my new favourite store) and we stumbled upon a few great finds for the American Boy too. He decided he needed new dress shoes and a bit of a wardrobe overhaul and nothing excites me more than being able to play dress up with a boy.

We then hit up Moods of Norway where we were plied with waffles and champagne (which I was only too willing to eat and drink whilst the American Boy went in search of shoes).

Maybe getting customers tipsy is a very savvy sales ploy from the folks down at Moods and it worked for us, as we left feeling slightly giddy, a fair few dollars poorer but a snazzy pair of shoes richer:

Another fantastic menswear designer store which I wish we had in the UK is John Varvatos. This store should come with a hazard warning though because if you dress a guy up in JV you will drool. Uncontrollably.
